Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Redtie, a product operated by SocialNetGate ("Redtie," "we," "us," or "our"). They govern your use of Redtie products, including Redtie Phone and its website at getredtie.com (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility & your account

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

2. The Service

Redtie Phone provides a US phone number, inbound and outbound calling from a desktop app, live captions, contacts sync, and an AI receptionist that can answer calls, screen callers, and take messages, according to the settings you choose (Always, After no answer, or Off). Features may change, improve, or be discontinued over time.

4. Fair use — flat fee, no per-minute math

Redtie Phone is a flat monthly fee per number with no per-minute charges — normal individual and business use is included, and you never have to do per-minute math.

Because the plan is flat, we reserve the right, for usage that is materially beyond normal individual or business use (for example, extreme call volumes or patterns consistent with automated dialing, resale, or abuse), to: (a) contact you about your usage; (b) require a custom or heavy-use plan at a different price; and/or (c) suspend or terminate the affected number. We exercise these rights only against genuine abuse or extreme outliers — not ordinary heavy users.

You agree to use the Service lawfully and not to:

You are responsible for complying with all laws that apply to your use of the Service, including how you use your phone number and communicate with others.

6. Call recording & consent

The Service can record calls when you enable that setting. Laws about recording calls differ by state and country, and many require the consent of some or all parties on the call.

You are solely responsible for enabling recording only where lawful and for obtaining any consent and giving any notice required in your location and your callers' locations. You control the recording setting for your account, and you agree to use it in compliance with all applicable laws. Redtie does not provide legal advice, and enabling recording is your decision and responsibility.

7. AI receptionist

The AI receptionist is an automated feature that has real-time conversations, screens calls, and takes messages. Like any automated system, it can make mistakes or misunderstand a caller. It is provided to assist you, not to give professional, legal, medical, or financial advice, and you should review important messages yourself. You are responsible for how you configure and use it.

8. Emergency calls (911)

Redtie Phone is not a replacement for your traditional or mobile phone and may not support 911 or other emergency calling. Do not rely on the Service to contact emergency services. Always keep a traditional phone or mobile phone available for emergencies.

9. Phone numbers

Phone numbers provisioned through the Service are licensed to you for use while your subscription is active; you do not own them, and applicable numbering rules apply. If you stop paying or your account is terminated, you may lose the number. Number porting, where available, is subject to carrier processes and applicable law.

10. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties (for example, telephony carriers, speech-to-text and AI providers, cloud hosting, Stripe for payments, and Google/Microsoft for sign-in and contacts). Your use of those integrations may also be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

11. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and the Redtie name and marks, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service per these Terms. You retain your own content (such as your contacts and messages); you grant us the rights needed to operate the Service for you.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate the Service, or your access to it, if you violate these Terms, if required for security or legal reasons, or as otherwise described here. Some provisions survive termination (such as payment obligations, disclaimers, and limitations of liability).

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that captions, transcripts, or the AI receptionist will be accurate.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Redtie and SocialNetGate will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Redtie and SocialNetGate from claims and liabilities arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law — including any claim relating to call recording or communications you make.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
